This page sets the data boundary of the research flow and the store connection.

What is read

On the Mercado Libre results page you have open, the extension reads the card IDs, the title and price text shown on screen, and the page health counts. Orders, addresses, messages and Mercado Libre cookies are not read.

What is not done

• The extension does not connect to the Mercado Libre API itself.
• Without a signed-in session, no strip is shown and no page data leaves your browser.
• The Keepa key and the Mercado Libre app secret are never in the extension.

How long it is kept

Catalog, Keepa and visit records are refreshed at least every 24 hours. Your scans stay linked to your account.

Account

The site and the extension use the same email account. Everyone sees only their own scans.

Store connection

When a store is connected, the seller is the data controller and marmelada is the data processor. The requested scopes are read, write and offline access. Write is used only when you create a Mercado Libre test account, so you can browse from outside Latin America. Test account passwords are stored encrypted and shown only to you. The data read is the connecting seller's own store ID, nickname and own listing information. This connection does not open any other seller's private data.

Consent is given on Mercado Libre's page. Your Mercado Libre password is never entered on marmelada. The store token never reaches the browser or the extension. When you remove the connection on the site, the token is deleted. You can also revoke access from the app settings of your Mercado Libre account.
