Frequently asked questions
Which Mercado Libre countries does it work in?
In 9 marketplaces: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela. The extension works on search results and seller storefronts in every one of them. For the store connection you need a Mercado Libre Mexico store or a Global Selling (CBT) account; other countries are coming soon. If Mercado Libre asks you to log in from outside Latin America, create a free test account on the Stores page.
Do I need a Mercado Libre store?
Yes. Every marmelada account is linked to a Mercado Libre seller account. You connect it right after signing up, and the app opens once the connection is active.
How does the store connection work?
Through Mercado Libre's official OAuth API. You approve access on Mercado Libre's own page and can revoke it anytime from marmelada or from your Mercado Libre app settings.
Do I need a Keepa or Amazon account?
No. marmelada does the Amazon matching on its own infrastructure. You don't need any extra account, key or subscription.
How accurate are the matches?
The barcode comes from the Mercado Libre catalog product the listing is attached to, and that barcode is searched on Amazon. It usually finds the same product; still, we recommend comparing the listing title and brand with the Amazon result. The table shows them side by side.
How does the monthly quota work?
Every unique barcode matched on Amazon counts toward your monthly quota: 100 on Free, 5,000 on Pro. The quota resets on the 1st of each month. Seeing barcodes under the cards doesn't count.
Can I export to Excel?
Yes. Export selected rows from the page table in the extension, or download scan results at marmelada.app as XLSX, filtered the way you see them. The file is named after your scan.
Can I cancel Pro anytime?
Yes. Cancel from the Settings page in one click; Pro stays active until the end of your billing period.
